Four business owners started this in 2017 because everyone around them was solving the same problems alone.
Who we are
An independent business organization
The Central Jersey Business Organization represents independent businesses across the Central New Jersey area. Members are owners and operators: hotels, restaurants, construction, real estate, professional services, retail.
What holds it together is not an industry or a trade body. It is proximity and repetition. Owners who see each other regularly stop treating one another as contacts and start treating one another as the first call.
CJBO is run by its founders, funded by membership fees and sponsorship, and deliberately kept small enough that people know each other's names.
Mission
Help each other succeed
Shorten the distance between an owner with a problem and the person who already solved it. That is the whole idea, and it has not changed since 2017.
Objective
Represent local business
Speak for independent businesses in Central New Jersey, and give their owners somewhere to bring the questions that do not fit anywhere else.
How it works
Show up, ask plainly
Members introduce themselves, say what they need, and listen. There is no referral quota and no obligation to buy from anyone.
