What we collect

We collect only what you type into our forms. That means the membership application, the sponsorship application, the contact form and the newsletter signup. We also record the IP address and browser that a submission came from, which we use to investigate spam.

Why we collect it

Membership and sponsorship applications are used to process your application and to contact you about it. Contact messages are used to reply to you. Newsletter addresses are used to send CJBO news and event invitations, and nothing else.

Who we share it with

Nobody. We do not sell, rent or trade the information you give us. Members' business listings appear in the CJBO directory and annual publication, which is the point of joining, but your personal contact details are not published unless you ask us to.

How long we keep it

Applications are kept for as long as you are a member or sponsor, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. Contact messages are kept until they are resolved and archived. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful. It sets cookies in your browser. The site also sets a cookie to protect forms against cross-site request forgery, which is required for the forms to work at all.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send. To ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, write to us at the address below and we will deal with it.
