Four business owners, one observation: everyone was solving the same problems alone.
CJBO started in 2017 because four business owners in Central Jersey kept noticing the same thing. Everybody around them was solving the same problems — finding a reliable contractor, understanding a lease, hiring a first employee — and everybody was solving them alone, from scratch, usually badly.
The organisation exists to shorten that. There is no formula beyond getting owners in a room often enough that they will call each other. Years in, that is still the whole idea.
